Hardy & Nance Studios is pleased to announce our Call for Entries for “MASKS II” an art show that will be on display Saturday, October 17th, 2026, from 6 to 10 pm. This call for entries is open to all artists in Houston and surrounding areas working in 2D & 3D media.

THEME:
2D & 3D mask related art or costumery (functional or decorative) (photography, paintings, & sculptures) that explore themes of identity, transformation, disguise, ceremony, tradition, secret society, uniform, celebration, cultural incorporation, and all the ways masks have been used for thousands of years and in contemporary applications.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Artists can submit images and information for up to 6 pieces no later than Tuesday October 6th, 2026 at 11:59pm. This is a curated show, so some pieces may not be chosen.

Such a fantastic turnout last night for the opening reception of Lucky 13! Thank you to all who came out and all who participated, and thank you to Visual Arts Alliance for putting on such a great show!

Congratulations to all the award recipients! There was so much talent packed in such small works.

As a reminder, this exhibition will continue to be on display until September 6th, so if you didn’t get a chance to make it out last night there’s still time!

We will also be open for our regular Third Saturday Open Studios this Saturday, August 15th from 6-10pm

What an incredible night. 🖤 Thank you to everyone who came out and made the very first Bestiary Show such a huge success!

A massive thank you to all of the talented artists who trusted us with their work and helped bring this new show to life. We also appreciate everyone who came out, supported local artists, and gave so many pieces new homes. It truly means the world.

Huge thanks to for keeping everyone fed and to for providing complimentary drinks as always. We couldn’t do it without your continued support!

We won’t be hosting one of our usual gallery shows next month, but we’re excited to be partnering with for a juried exhibition that will be on display throughout the entire month of August. If you’ve been thinking about submitting, the deadline is July 20th! Link in bio.

We’re also now accepting submissions for our September exhibition, Lost & Found: An Upcycled Art Show, happening Saturday, September 19. Create something from recycled, reclaimed, or secondhand materials and show us how discarded objects can be transformed into art. The submission deadline is Wednesday, September 9 at 11:59 PM.

Calling all animal lovers!

Join us this Saturday from 6–10 PM for the very first Bestiary: An Animal Art Show at Hardy & Nance Studios!

Here is just a preview at some of the amazing work we’ve received. This exhibition will feature 100+ works of art by 60+ local artists, all celebrating the beauty, wonder, and imagination of the animal kingdom.

We’ll have a variety of paintings, sculptures, collages, mixed media, and more filled with creatures both familiar and fantastical.

Whether you love cute pets, wildlife, mythical creatures, or anything in between, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Bring the family, invite a friend, and spend the evening exploring some incredible local art. Admission is always free, and we’d love to see you there!

Hardy & Nance Studios is pleased to announce our Call for Entries for “Lost and Found: An Upcycled Art Show” that will be displayed on Saturday, September 19th 2026, from 6-10 pm. This call for entries is open to all artists in Houston and surrounding areas working on 2D & 3D media.

We’re also so excited to announce that we will be partnering with our friends over at Texas Art Asylum () for this show ONLY! If you mention “Lost and Found” at checkout, you’ll receive $5 off on your purchase! (Only applicable before deadline date 9/9/26)

THEME: Artworks created in a variety of artistic styles and mediums: painting, drawing, print making, sculpture, assemblage, conceptual, and more.

Lost and Found celebrates the beauty, potential, and stories hidden within forgotten materials. We invite artists to reimagine recycled, reclaimed, second-hand, and repurposed objects as works of art, breathing new life into items that might otherwise end up in landfills. From salvaged wood and vintage textiles to found objects, packaging, metal scraps, and discarded treasures, artists are challenged to see possibility where others see waste.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Artists can submit images and information for up to four (4) pieces no later than Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at 11:59 pm. This is a curated show, so some pieces may not be chosen.

ARTWORK ENTRY FEE:
The entry fee for this show is $15 cash per accepted piece, due at drop off. There is no fee to submit images for consideration.
