Sitka Conservation Society invited me to create a poster to raise awareness of the Tongass National Forest. The Tongass in Alaska is the largest US National Forest, and an old growth forest making it an important carbon sink.

The Sitka Conservation Society works to protect the Tongass while supporting development of economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable communities within Southeast Alaska. You can find ways to support and get involved at the conservation society’s page:

This 3D poster is made from trash, new paper from , and secondhand paper from . See the last photo for how I used some of the trash (a shoe box lid)

Including myself in art photos is a handy way to provide scale for that Tongass-inspired piece and also a chance to give you a behind the scenes peek at my daily "look.” I've been living in this uniform of overalls and while trying to balance the holiday rush and work. I hope y’all are enjoying the holidays!

New DIY art kits! These are inspired by the pollinators of Texas, featuring native Texas wildflowers. Pick your kit up in houston at or order on my website for shipping. This is also a workshop at on Jan 14 from 2-4pm!

I sourced most of the paper secondhand from to keep things low-waste, and that means there might be slight color variation kit to kit. It highlights the original nature of the artwork you make.

Each kit comes with the frame and all the materials to make this Texas pollinator piece.

I’m often time traveling in my mind, thinking about the things I’ve done or need to do.

Moments like these rooted me in the present and made me feel alive in the best way.

This piece is a product of my residency at and made from paper and materials found at and scrap yarn from .fiberart who is a talented weaver.
