Dear Valued Members and Friends of the Children’s Museum at Holyoke,
We hope you and your family are doing well and continuing to enjoy the wonder and discovery that our museum provides for children of all ages.
After careful consideration, we are writing to inform you of upcoming adjustments to our pricing, which will take effect on July 1, 2026. These changes, while never easy to implement, are necessary to sustain and strengthen the museum for the future.
General Admission:
Our current general admission price of $8 per person (for both children and adults) has remained unchanged since 2017, nearly a decade. Starting July 1, general admission will increase to $10 per person. Seniors (62+), EBT, and other discounts will adjust accordingly, while children under 1 and members will continue to receive free admission.
Memberships and All Other Services:
In addition to general admission, we are also increasing prices for memberships, birthday parties, field trips, group visits, special event tickets, and other museum services. Our membership program, which has not seen a price increase since 2010, will be streamlined into simpler tiers with adjusted pricing to better reflect the enhanced benefits and rising operational costs. Full details of the new pricing for all services will be available soon on our website and at the front desk.
These adjustments come in response to the steady rise in operating costs over the past many years, compounded by recent high inflation. Expenses for general operations, maintenance, exhibit updates, insurance, supplies, and staffing have all increased significantly. Importantly, we remain deeply committed to supporting our dedicated staff—providing competitive wages and regular cost-of-living raises so we can continue to attract and retain the talented educators, facilitators, and team members who make the museum such a special place.
The Children’s Museum at Holyoke has always been a community treasure, offering hands-on learning in the arts, sciences, and the world around us through interactive exhibits and programs. Our mission—to enhance the educational and cultural awareness of all children—remains our guiding light. These modest price increases will help us keep the museum vibrant, safe, and accessible while continuing to invest in new experiences for your families.
Important Note for Our Community:
To help you plan ahead, you may purchase memberships, admission tickets, birthday parties, and all other services at today’s current prices up until June 30, 2026. Any purchases made by that date will be fully valid and honored even after the price increase takes effect on July 1.
