Join us tonight for the opening reception of "Drying Pond: An Intergenerational Field Study" by Dani F. Hughes.

In this exhibition, Hughes pairs her father’s childhood drawings of pond species from A–Z with her own analog photography, printmaking, and handmade paper. The result is a moving dialogue between father and daughter, art and science, and the changing landscapes of Charlotte, Michigan, and Madison, Wisconsin. Come meet the artist, explore these personal and ecological records of a shifting ecosystem, and celebrate this intergenerational collaboration.

Join us for Tango: A Dance for Every Body at the Holland Area Arts Council! No experience is required, and all ability levels are welcome. Whether you're looking for a fun night out, a creative challenge, or a new way to connect with others, Argentine tango offers movement, music, community, and joy.

🎨 Call for Artists: Sketch the Dance 💃

Join us this Friday for a unique live sketching opportunity at Neuro-Arts Tango!

Capture the energy, movement, and connection of Argentine tango as dancers fill the Holland Area Arts Council with music and motion. Whether you sketch, paint, draw, photograph, or create in another medium, we invite you to explore the intersection of art, dance, and community.

No experience is necessary, and all artistic styles are welcome. Bring your favorite materials or use supplies we'll have available.

Neuro-Arts Tango is a partnership between the Holland Area Arts Council, Tango 21 Dance Theatre, and Dr. Shannon Connell exploring how movement, creativity, and human connection can support wellbeing.

Artists are welcome to come and go throughout the evening. We'd love to photograph or share artwork created during the event, with full artist credit, to help tell the story of this innovative community initiative.

Come draw the dance. Capture the rhythm. Help us document creativity in motion.
