Catawba Science Center honors Indigenous Peoples' Day. We celebrate the invaluable contributions of Indigenous scientists, innovators, and land protectors.
Long before modern laboratories, Indigenous communities developed Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK), using centuries of scientific observation to manage forests, practice sustainable agriculture, and understand ecosystems.
Today and every day, we acknowledge that CSC sits on the ancestral lands of the Catawba Indian Nation (Ye Iswąą) people. We remain committed to learning from and elevating Indigenous voices in STEM.
