If you know me at all, you know I absolutely love a good sweatshirt. I will not even talk about how many I own. But when I saw this, I knew I wanted it. I quickly realized I didn’t need it.

Willpower to walk away from something you want can only happen when you realize it’s not what you need.

There’s something about the sun. When the light hits just right and you find yourself standing (seated in this case) in a good place, you document it.

There’s also something about the Son. I’m thankful that one day His Light hit me and I find myself seated in heavenly places, and today I want to document His faithfulness and His goodness. He is a Lamp unto my feet and a Light unto my path. I couldn’t be more grateful!

Today is the day. It’s hard to put into words when your children “fly the coop” so to speak. So many have asked if I’ve cried a thousand tears, or if my heart is really sad that she’s going so far away. The answer to both is “no, yet.” Let me explain. No, I haven’t cried a thousand tears, yet. No, my heart is not sad she’s going so far away, yet.

Honestly, I couldn’t be more excited or thrilled for her in this new adventure. She’s been homeschooled (well, online school because I am NOT a teacher lol and she wanted nothing to do with me being involved in her schooling so there was that too lol - I desperately wanted to be that “teacher” LOL) for the past six years. She’s ready for campus life, clubs, chapel, and in-person instruction! She’s pumped about meeting people from all over the world. She’s prayed about this decision and has been steadfast that this was the school for her because she could “pray in the tongues.” I absolutely LOVE that my daughter chose a school based on conviction AND instruction!

Both of my daughters have chosen schools that matched their goals and personalities. I couldn’t be more pleased with both of them. This is an unedited pic Morgan took of Zoe in Boston a week ago. I can say I am blessed as a mom that they love each other, champion each other, pick on each other (yeah, that doesn’t change I realize now, no matter how old they get lol), and they definitely pray for each other!

Cold brew. Who am I?

I spent almost an hour in my car without running it so I could do my therapy session. I was sweating profusely because it’s hotter than blue blazes outside and yet, I still felt so refreshed when I got off the phone. I’m a and I can’t believe how much it has helped me. No shame in growth!

From floor to ceiling it captures your attention.

Sunsets are my favorite.

This really captures Chicago. Lights missing, empty street and yet it’s a vibe.
