In collaboration with Shantell Martin and the Princeton Sankofa Stitchers Modern Quilt Guild, GFS will be hosting a series of workshops to create a community quilt for The Sankofa Community Quilt Wall in ‘Shantell Martin: Past, Present, Future.’

Participants will view the exhibition, then design and sew a square for the quilt, led by the Guild. No experience necessary! Workshops will be held October through January and are free with admission. Sign up today at https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/calendar/?fwp_event_type=workshops.

I recently spent the most wonderful fall day here, and honestly, I had such a great time. You can easily spend 4–5 hours exploring 42 acres, 300+ sculptures, stunning gardens, and indoor and outdoor exhibits. There’s so much to see around every corner.🍁

I loved that Grounds For Sculpture is about more than just art. Through its Social Prescription project, it highlights how art and nature can support well-being. The day I visited, I got to experience the incredible Taiko performance, Welcoming Autumn — such a special experience.✨

I enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Van Gogh Café, and I can’t wait to try the Rat’s Restaurant on my next visit. It’s ADA accessible, welcoming to all ages, and beautiful to visit year-round. ❤️

🎟️ Book your tickets online before visiting, wear comfy shoes, and bring your camera to capture all those fall memories.

Drawing is a powerful tool for expression. Grounds For Sculpture invites guests to make their own works of art when they tour the exhibition ‘Shantell Martin: Past, Present, Future.’ Artist Shantell Martin recognizes drawing as a powerful tool, and her new exhibition includes artist prompts about time, discovery, and play.

In the gallery, visitors can pull from three towers of paper to make their own works inspired by prompts from Martin. When finished, visitors have the choice to keep it or leave it in the clear vessel, which creates a living system to track the passage of time and drawings.

This exhibition is on view through July 23, 2028. https://www.groundsforsculpture.org/exhibitions/shantell-martin-past-present-future/
