Vicious Involution [Neijuan]
October 2 - 31, 2026

Join Hanover Creative for “Vicious Involution: Neijuan” a group exhibition featuring work that reflects on the viral Chinese sociological term “Neijuan.” This term encapsulates a common feeling among younger generations: even if they work hard to advance their careers and lives, limited opportunity will still lead to overwork, anxiety, and diminishing rewards.

The exhibition will open to the public on October 2nd and host an opening reception on Friday, October 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Featured Artists: Hanna-Mae Greenfield,Mary Henderson, Marcè Nixon-Washington, & Jessi Olarsch.

Works by the legendary Wane One!

Wane One was born in West London and raised in the north Bronx after moving to the US in the late 1970s. He became a leader in the graffiti scene after painting his first subway during the golden age of graffiti. Wane is known of his abstract geometric lettering style and unique color pallets.

Leon Rainbow is a Trenton, New Jersey–based graffiti artist and muralist with over 20 years of experience creating vibrant, community-driven public art. Emerging from the local graffiti scene in the late 1990s, he developed a signature style rooted in bold lettering, dynamic compositions, and intricate patterns. His work blends traditional graffiti influences with contemporary design, resulting in murals that are both visually striking and rich with meaning.

Open Call for Artwork!
Submission deadline: 10/12/26

Buy Now Pay Later is a call for artwork commenting on contemporary consumerism. Artists are invited to submit works examining consumerism in all its forms: the thrill of overindulgence, our addiction to what’s new, and the structures in place that streamline the impulses of our “animal spirits”. Curated by Aine Mickey.

For questions please email [email protected].

Submission is free and open to artists 18+.
