Summer Camp Week 2 Highlights 🌟🎨🔨

We were busy at the EWMW: mastering impressionist painting like Monet, coding in Python, building trucks, wiring robots, constructing detailed historic models, and even learning to (safely) start fires perfect for s’mores!

Summer is almost here! ☀️ We’re so excited to have such an amazing team of apprentices with us. They continue to wow us with their innovation, compassion, and expression.

A special shoutout goes to Anna Muench-Nasrallah. She created the beautiful design for our Leonardo Challenge tote bags (last slide) that were then printed in our workshop, by our apprentices!

Weekend Hours: we will be closed to the public Saturday, May 23 and next Sunday, May 31 for summer camp orientation! Please plan your visits accordingly—we will be open for visitors during our normal operating hours 10am–3pm this Sunday, May 24 and next Saturday, May 30.

We love what we do at the Eli Whitney Museum & Workshop, and your support helps us keep doing it! The Great Give begins today, a 36-hour online giving event to support local nonprofits.

Every year, we envision, design, create, and teach more than 40,000 unique projects for kids and adults. We encourage observation, invention, and engagement with tools and materials by offering learning opportunities that take place outside of the classroom.
