✋ Who here has fed a wild bird from their hand? You may be surprised by how many have :-o

💙 Many species of bird have become so used to humans that they will eat food from your hand if you stay still enough! Give it a go in your own backyard or on a quiet walk. Just hold some bird seed or even trail mix (for the larger birds) and stay very still.

Join us on November 10 from 2 PM-4 PM for the opening reception of "Seeing Nature through Art: an Exhibition by the Instructors of the Yale Peabody Museum Natural Science Illustration Program."

Yale Peabody Museum, 170 Whitney Ave., New Haven, CT

In 2009 four professional Connecticut artists founded the program in partnership with the Peabody Museum, using its rich collections to teach the art and science of illustrating the natural world. The original four instructors have expanded to ten, all of whom are represented in this show. Included in this exhibition are works by Betsy Barry, Jeanette Compton, Rebecca Gelernter, Susannah Graedel, Zoe Matthiessen, Linda Miller, Dorie Petrochko, Jan Prentice, Bivenne Staiger, and Linda Thomas. The show will run through June, 2020.

If you are interested in attending the opening reception, please let us know by November 8th so we can arrange for your FREE ADMISSION to the museum.
