Our newest exhibit, Cosmic Contact, is open for play! Explore a galaxy of hands-on LEGO® building challenges where every visit brings a new adventure. Design space stations, discover alien worlds, engineer new inventions, and solve creative missions as you dream, design, and build your way across the cosmos.

Explore curiosity & art in GRCM's Artist in Residence program with themes led by local professional working artists. August's artist is Brandon Copeland!

Join us for Seeing Sounds, a musical mural making workshop. Explore and create with different musical instruments with local artist Brandon Copeland, AKA musical artist Dante Cope, AKA owner of Grammotones.

Seeing Sounds is a visual audio experience where kids can create a virtual mural using musical instruments and their voice. Learn how different sounds can create colors and patterns as we create a flowing wall display with musical instruments.

Drop-in Schedule
❇️ Friday, August 28 & Saturday, August 29 | 11 AM–1 PM

Drop-in programs are included with regular museum admission. No pre-registration required, just stop by & start creating!

Help create a lasting piece of the Grand Rapids Children's Museum as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2027! Join local artist Joel Schoon-Tanis for a collaborative mural project where children will brainstorm ideas, design the artwork, and help paint a mural that reflects the creativity and voices of our community. Children of all ages are invited to leave their mark on the museum and help create a colorful, welcoming work of art that will inspire visitors for years to come.
