Finding What I'd been missing since I traded in my artistic interests for pursuit of a an Education. I did continue to write, however. In 2004 became disabled, . I stopped doing Creative art work at about the age of 14 years..After att

ending GVSU in 1996, I accepted a position at an advertising agency where I worked. Although I was a marketing major in college. I have never taken any art classes. But since I was a victim of a serious violient crime I had many challenges looming over me.. But somehow God intervened and restored my creative spirit. So with too much time on my hands I began to get busy and create when I was introduced to the Heartside Gallery & Studio. There I began a journey that has reawakened the writer in me and also the Art talent that had been hiding under the surface for so along. The last poem I had written was a piece for my sister Heather a gifted artist and Horse Trainer & Rider. In 1996, We lost Heather to a fatal car accident in her first Year at Kendall School of Art & Design at Ferris State University(FSU). She was on her way to work: She was only eighteen years old. . I read that poem at her funeral. Afterward I had writer's block for almost 15 years until one day a God intervened and my sister's spirit lead me into the Heartside Gallery Studio. I wrote a poem for the first time since I read that poem at my sister/s Funeral. I restarted writing again! Something spritual happened to me that day and about a year later started doing pastels, drawings and Painting. At Heartside Writers Group and I began writing for and delivering "The Spoon" ( a Collection Of Heartside Writings) in the Heartside and downtown Business area. In 2012 I was given the primary responsibility with the Heartside Writers Group for continuing the Spoon. Now, I had been delivering writing for and delivering the Spoon for a few years. When the founder of the Spoon turned over all the responsibilities over to us at the Heartside Writer's Group. We found Funding through a generous Heartside District busness owner. The owner of Clark Communications has funded "The Spoon: for the past three Years. I am thankful for all the volunteers and those who have helped us achieve our creative pursuits at the Heartside Studio and Art Gallery. Heartside Ministries since 1991, at 54 S.
