If you’ve got kiddos (or grand-kiddos!) ages 5-15, the Museum invites you to join the TCHM Family as a ‘Historian Family’! And, between August 2 and August 20, all new 'Historian Family'-level members will get a free conductor's cap – right in time to wear to the Ice Cream Social at the #1223 Engine on August 20!

And, as your kids (or grandkids!) reach their pre-teen and teen years, the door opens for cross-generational conversation, where adults can share their own childhood experiences and invite the younger generation to consider how daily life has changed over time. The Museum is the place where your kids can make connections between what they see in their hometown today compared to in the past, and associate local buildings, streets, and parks (and more) with names from Tri-Cities history.

They’ll also begin to build a timeline in their minds of the people, places, and events that shaped the place where they live now.
