Established shortly after the Civil War, Decoration Day - now known as Memorial Day - was established to honor those fallen in battle.

Over time this "day" has turned into a weekend, and doubles as the unofficial launch of summer.

Holland (Michigan's!) Tulip Time winds up Saturday with a packed schedule, including the 2-4 p.m. Volksparade through Downtown Holland. Soft finish Sunday with a relaxed schedule of events.
The tulip display is spectacular this year at Windmill Island Gardens, and throughout the town!
