Art Omi is open for the entire Memorial Day long weekend!

🚌 Looking for an easy way to reach Art Omi from Hudson? Hop aboard the first Art Shuttle of the season, a complimentary service from Art Omi and Pocketbook Hudson, today between 10 AM–2 PM. The shuttle is open to all and departs from Pocketbook and Art Omi in 30-minute intervals.

🔊 We invite you to join us this evening from 5–8 PM for the first of four Long Light: Live Music concerts of the summer season. Wendy Eisenberg is a virtuoso guitarist and singer-songwriter who moves between art-rock, jazz, free improv, and folk with inspired multiplicity, arriving this year with their most fully realized work yet.

Elori Saxl is a key figure in an emerging generation of American experimental musicians. The NY-based composer is taking up the torch of minimalism and fusing it with a sensibility informed by soundsystem culture and modern pop production.

Art Omi presents the East Coast premiere of Tschabalala Self’s 𝗣𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿, a monumental bronze sculpture commissioned by Desert X, on Saturday, June 27 from 3–6 PM.

Rising star DANIRO will debut a newly commissioned performance at the opening. More details forthcoming—you don’t want to miss it!

Self describes the work as a "monument built in homage to the collective foremothers of contemporary America. Pioneer represents the lost, expelled, and forgotten Indigenous and African women…[who stand] as a beacon of resilience for their descendants—a visual representation of their birthright and place within the American landscape."

Free public shuttles will run from Pocketbook Hudson to Art Omi from 3–7 PM on June 27 in 30-minute intervals.

Art Omi presents Nαყʅαɳԃ Bʅαƙҽ | "Hαυɳƚ": Bҽιɳɠ ƚԋҽ Fσʅʅყ σϝ Oɳҽ Vιƈƚσɾყα Sρҽƈƚɾҽ opening Saturday, June 27 from 3–6 PM.

The opening will feature the premiere of M. Lamar’s newly commissioned performance 𝘼𝙐𝙍𝘼 𝙀𝙓𝙏𝙍𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉, in dialogue with Blake's project. Renowned artist M. Lamar works across opera, metal, performance, video, sculpture, and installation to craft sprawling narratives of radical becomings.

"Hαυɳƚ," Blake’s first outdoor installation, draws upon the history of the ornamental hermit—a novelty of the 18th and 19th centuries in which a wealthy landowner would hire a man to live alone on their estate for seven years, forbidden from speaking or cutting their hair, performing a fantasy of simpler life predating the Industrial Revolution. Victorya Spectre, Blake's alter ego, lurks on Art Omi’s grounds, a cross between a sibyl and a cryptid, a mysterious creature dispensing fragments of insight from their studio/nest. Victorya has answers, but they may just not be the right ones. Part classroom, part lounge, part farm stand, part abandoned amusement park ride, the work raises questions about fantasy, labor, aging, and the conditions of daily life.

Buildings are not made by machines alone.

Now On View: Onnis Luque ( | ) | 𝘋𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐𝘖: 𝘈𝘯 𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘮 through May 31, 2026.

In this image, children laboring inside a quarry remind us that extraction is as much a human story as it is an ecological one. 𝘋𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐𝘖 turns the camera toward the people behind the process, revealing the hands and bodies that make built environments.

These photographs challenge the dominant visual culture of architecture, which often glorifies final forms while obscuring the socio-ecological violence embedded in their production. 𝘋𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐𝘖 makes visible what architectural images often conceal: that buildings are rooted not only in place, but in the distant voids left behind by their materials.

For the first time in the nine-year history of the Art Omi: Architecture Residency, we're opening our Studio Barn doors and giving the public an intimate look at the spaces and methodologies of our international Architects-in-Residence.

The Art Omi: Architecture Residency offers early to mid-career architects dedicated time and space to explore their work outside the demands of professional practice. Whether further developing an existing project, or beginning a new venture, we invite you to witness the environments where diverse techniques are refined during our annual two-and-a-half week residency.

🌼 Have you spotted the spring blooms in the Sculpture & Architecture Park? We love seeing where the seasonal flora creates an extra layer of vibrancy to the work of our exhibiting artists and architects.

As always, we invite you to experience Art Omi through self-guided exploration. Our 120 acres of fields and forests are sprinkled with vernal pools. The Hudson Valley holds the greatest concentration of these seasonal wetlands in the state of New York, providing a unique and transient acoustic vista for Art Omi visitors.

With temperatures expected to reach the high 80s next week, your best opportunity to experience the whistles and trills of frogs, toads, and other woodland creatures will be this weekend before they dry up in the summer heat.

𝘋𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐𝘖 confronts architecture's grand narrative by illuminating its production processes. These images strive to trigger a critical introspection about architectural production and its socio-ecological footprint, while contesting the dominant visual narrative that perpetuates its existence.

Exhibiting a mosaic of queries, contradictions, and internal conflict, 𝘋𝘖𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐𝘖 evokes an introspective assessment of how the role of architectural photographer might have inadvertently contributed to architecture's fetishization.
