Bio
Carrie Iverson is an artist and educator based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Working across printmaking, photography, glass, paper, and installation, she investigates how materials and places record traces of time, use, and environmental change. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Brooklyn Museum. She maintains a studio at Easyside in Fort Worth.

Statement
“My work begins with a simple question: How do environments leave their mark on the materials around us? I explore how places record time and environmental change through processes of weathering, residue, accumulation, and repair. I am drawn to materials that behave like archives, carrying evidence of contact, use, and transformation.”

Bio
Christopher Nájera is a DFW-based artist whose practice explores the intersection of
psychic repair, ancestral memory, and the ontology of drawing through steel and fabric.
Nájera was raised between Texas and Coahuila, where he acquired sensibilities shaped by
the two communities. He attended the University of North Texas graduating with a BFA in
Studio Art in 2014. He earned his MFA from Texas Christian University in 2026. His solo
exhibitions include en el arder, se ve at Moudy Gallery, Fort Worth, TX, de aquí cae agua at Arts Fort Worth, and hasta que me muera and plutón en acuario at 500X, Dallas. His group
exhibitions include Terrenos at Koning Gallery, Dallas TX and Soy de Tejas at The Cheech
Center, Riverside CA.

Statement
My practice sits at the intersection of psychic repair, ancestral memory, and the ontology
of drawing, extended into steel and fabric.
I grew up between Texas and Coahuila, Mexico, as a q***r artist. Both shape how I
understand belonging, distance, and care, though the work doesn’t set out to illustrate either
directly. At the center of the practice is a belief in psychic repair, that generational and personal
wounds can be metabolized, and that this is what opens a person to relate differently to land,
ancestors, and other beings. Horses, mountains, flames, and celestial forms recur across the
work, drawn onto muslin.

Francisco Josue Alvarado Araujo is an artist and educator based in DFW, with a studio in Fort
Worth, Texas. He received an MFA from TCU in 2020 and a BFA from UNT in 2015. Catch his
work at Barry Whistler’s summer show WELCOME TO TEXAS :D
His work plays with potential for objects to relate in intricate, delicate and precarious ways. The
focus on connectivity across a range of materials leans into an open, expansive and disoriented
view of the world, which allows fragility, fluidity, and interchangeability to move through the
Work.

The work is made of found objects in precarious situations that anticipate collapse. Light
engineering and various mending strategies are employed to highlight characteristics of the
discarded matter. Friction, compression and tension interface with delicate touch, resulting in
balanced makeshift structures that are conditional and ephemeral.
Objects that have been cast off are the preferred materials for the work, adding a sense of
serendipity, chance and transformation. The emergent compositions are driven by intuitive
organizations in space that settle into states of temporary stability, states of waiting, yearning,
slow undoing, entropy.
