Railroad Museum of South Florida The Railroad Museum of South Florida, Inc. A great destination for a family outing.

is a non-profit corporation dedicated to preserving, collecting, documenting and interpreting the exciting story of the railroads of America, with particular focus upon the history of Florida's railroads. The Railroad Museum of South Florida, Inc a Florida Not for Profit Corp operates a Interpertive Center housed in a Railroad Depot in Lakes Regional Park. It's Outdoor exhibits include a cosmetically restored 1905 Atlantic Coastline Railroad 0-6-0 Baldwin Locomotive and Tender and a cosmetically restored 1953 Seaboard Airline Railroad Caboose. In addition to the Interperative Center it operates a 1 1/2 mile minature train ride which takes riders on a 15 minute scenic ride which winds through villages and a 100 ft tunnel and over trestle bridges on its journey between lakes and past water features with views of exotic birds and wildlife.
