We continue our celebration of Virginia’s 250th by focusing on October 1776 when every Bedford County militia company mustered at New London. Some of those patriots will return to New London 250 years later to tell the stories of their service and sacrifice in the fight for American independence.

“Have you ever wondered if you had taken a different path in your life, what would have happened?”

This was the question author Jean Hurley asked herself when researching and writing the story of Richard Calloway.

Thank you to all who attended Jean’s book signing and presentation! It was wonderful seeing so many engaged in the expansive story of a New London founder and hero. Jean’s book is available on Amazon and other major retailers!
