The 34th Eureka Springs VW Festival is coming to town August 28–30, and the Museum of Eureka Springs Art is joining the fun with a special VW POP-UP ART SHOW & SALE

Beginning August 27 and continuing through September 6, the museum will feature some of the colorful work of Jack Miller.

Jack Miller (1942–2014) looked every bit the Wild West cowboy, which made his artwork such a delightful surprise. A disciplined artist and printmaker, Jack worked daily in his studio creating paintings and prints filled with personality, warmth, and whimsy.

He first became known for his drawings of the French Quarter in New Orleans. After Jack and his wife, Sabina Miller, moved to Eureka Springs, he brought his love of Mardi Gras with him. He later became well known for his charming Volkswagen Beetle series, with wide headlight eyes and bright pastel colors. His work is cheerful, dreamy, sassy, and just plain fun.

The art sale & show will include several of Jack’s large Volkswagen Beetle original paintings, along with some prints available for purchase. Stop by, enjoy the museum, and perhaps take home a piece by this remarkable Eureka Springs artist.

The museum is located just across the street from the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, where the VW Festival will be held. Whether you arrive in a Beetle, Bus, Karmann Ghia, Thing, or something entirely different, cruise on over and see us while you’re in town!
