Art and music shared the spotlight last night at the Maguire Theatre! 🎨🎶

“When Paintings Sing: The Music Within the Frame” brought paintings by our Splash artists together with live classical performances for a special evening during Splash Week. Inspired by the natural world, the artwork complemented each musical selection, giving the audience another way to connect with what they were hearing.

Sandra Krueger did such a wonderful job narrating the evening and offering perspective on the connections between the paintings and the music. Her insights helped us appreciate how intertwined different forms of art can be, and how experiencing them together can deepen our appreciation of both.

Featured artists included Catherine C. Martin, Mary Ellen Connelly, Trudy Nodgaard, JudyLynn Hooser, Linda Starr, Kerry Burch, Dawn Kinney Martin, Anita Cissel, Jane Filer, and Kimberlee C. Maselli.

Thank you to Sandra Krueger, Dr. Lisa Lowry, Evan Schelton, Dr. Walter Swan, and Sarah Weeks for sharing their talents, and to everyone who joined us for this special part of Splash Week! ❤️
