Opening August 23rd, Marge Tucker is a participating artist in the Art Complex Exhibition 'Quilted Visions' opening August 23rd, on view until November 8th, 2026
The opening Reception is Sunday, September 20, 2026, 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

Marge Tucker is a Minnesota born international award-winning quilt artist and quilting instructor now based out of Norwell, MA and Phoenix, AZ.
Learning how to sew from her mother, she started first by making clothing.
The first quilt she made was for friends expecting their first child over thirty
years ago. At that time, she didn’t know that quilting would become her
passion and now her profession. She started with traditional pieced quilts
but is now focused on abstract improvisational design in her work.

Led by artist and experienced printmaker Audra Furgal, this full-day workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of carving, inking, and printing large-scale woodblocks. You’ll learn practical techniques for reading wood grain, carving with control, applying ink evenly, hand-burnishing, troubleshooting common challenges, and more.

Whether you’re preparing for our upcoming Big Ink event or simply curious about traditional relief printing, this workshop is designed for all experience levels. No prior experience necessary, and all materials are provided.

Tomorrow Night! Oysters supplied from the Duxbury Oyster Company begin at 5:00 PM alongside a live music performance. At 6:30 PM, artist Lilla Szekely speaks on the artistic process. Her work explores nature as a record of time and identity, and she discusses the collaborative process behind a sculptural installation — created by her students and now on view on the museum's grounds — that reflects her belief in art's power to unite people across disciplines, generations, and experiences.
