"The Captain's House" by Rudolph Goss, Oil on Panel, 24x18, $1,200

From the artist-"This is the sea captain's mansion at Fort Hill on Cape Cod. There is something at once charming and forbidding about it. I was there on the first day of Spring and was struck by the contrast between the old-fashioned architecture and the freshness of the grass on the lawn.

Okay Duxbury! Does anybody recognize this piece?

It is a pastel from 1983, probably titled "Gurnet Point at Low Tide".

It is hanging in a private collection in Washington DC and they are looking for more information on it.
