Spring Hours starting Wednesday, April 1! ☀️🌷

The Days of '76 Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

The museums welcome groups of 10 or more with advance reservations. For group tour information, please call 605-722-4800.

As one of the oldest surviving artifacts from the event, it offers a tangible link to the early history of the celebration. Belle Fourche resident J.D. Garrett Jr., who competed in the ba****ck riding event at the Days of ’76 rodeo in 2002, signed this rodeo contestant placard. That year, Garrett ranked 7th in the world standings and was among the top 20 ba****ck riders in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association PRCA). Today, he is recognized as one of the top horse trainers in the region. – Days of '76 Museum Collection

This Black Hills Gold bolo tie was presented to Bob McManis in recognition of his long-standing dedication to the rodeo. Beginning in 1947, McManis served as the announcer for the Days of '76 Rodeo for over 30 years. Renowned for his skill and professionalism, he was considered one of the top rodeo announcers in the country. – Adams Museum Collection
