Our final History on the Lawn of the season featured a phenomenal presentation by JJ Kent, who shared personal stories and knowledge of Lakota culture passed down by respected elders. He also set up a tipi on the lawn and treated guests to a beautiful flute performance.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thank-you to JJ and his wife, Stacy, for sharing this meaningful experience with us. JJ Kent Music

Join us for our next Preservation Thursday lecture, “Seth Bullock and the Black Hills: 150 Years Later,” with David Wolff on September 24 at noon at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center. The free presentation will conclude at Seth Bullock’s grave in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
