The Hall of State The Hall of State in Dallas’ Fair Park, is the “home” of the Dallas Historical Society. Beginning on And this work of art is just minutes from downtown Dallas.

This shrine of Texas offers murals, marble and sculptures, as well as a theater, library, multiple exhibit spaces, VIP rooms and a lawn area to accommodate almost any event. Use The Hall of State for your wedding, reception, party, non-profit event, corporate meeting or any affair that you want to break free from the standard ballroom setting. Venue Capacity:

The Hall of State and the Dallas Historical Society's exhibits are free and open to the public during the State Fair of Texas to visitors with a State Fair admission. The building will be open 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

After the conclusion of the FIFA event at Fair Park,The Hall of State will return to its normal hours of operation. The building will be closed to the public on Monday, July 20, 2026 and re-open at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2026!

Join us on Tuesday, May 19 for an evening honoring the dynamic women leaders, changemakers, and visionaries whose influence continues to shape Dallas and beyond.

Lee Cullum, Elba Garcia, Mary Jalonick, Rena Pederson, Margie Johnson Reese, and Mary Suhm will take part in a panel discussion moderated by Stewart Thomas.

The evening begins with an exclusive ticketed Pour Yourself into History Happy Hour from 6:00–7:00 pm ($30), featuring cocktails and light bites. Connect with the speakers and hear the powerful stories behind their impact on Dallas’ growth and evolution.

The program will take place at 7:00 pm the Hall of State in Fair Park, in the Margaret and Al Hill Lecture Hall.
