‼️It’s the last week to see ‘Roy Lichtenstein in the Studio’ at the Nasher!

Brimming with behind-the-scenes insights into Lichtenstein’s inventive practice, this exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the sense of imagination, play, and experimentation behind the artist’s well-known renderings of subjects ranging from comic book characters and everyday objects like drinking glasses and mirrors to the art and design of the past.

On view through Saturday, October 24.

A dialogue between movement, architecture, and sculpture💭

Last weekend, DanceTCU brought new energy into the Nasher’s galleries with a selection of work by Trisha Brown, staged by TBDC alum Shelley Senter. The performance concluded with a lecture and demonstration of DanceTCU’s unique version of Trisha Brown’s ‘Set and Reset/Reset.’ Keep an eye out for more opportunities to see mediums mix at the Nasher!

This program was made possible by leading support from the Bowdon Family Foundation.

Meet Petrit Halilaj✨

Our 9th Nasher Prize Laureate Petrit Halilaj developed bodies of work that explore how life is sustained through relationships–between people, other species, architecture, memory, and place. Working across sculpture, drawing, installation, text, and performance, he approaches exhibitions as living environments where forms of affection, imagination, and coexistences can emerge.

🗓️Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, for an Artist Talk: Petrit Halilaj featuring a conversation between Petrit and Nasher Curator Dr. Leigh Arnold, followed by a vibrant Nasher Prize Celebration and public award conferral to honor our 9th Nasher Prize Laureate.🎉

An Encounter with Eve🍃🪾

When creating ‘Eve’ nearly 150 years ago, Auguste Rodin drew inspiration from Michelangelo’s Eve in the Sistine Chapel’s frescoes. But beyond the obviously biblical connotations of the anguish of original sin, the figure strikes a broader metaphorical note, conveying the spiritual or psychological malaise characteristic of modern life.
