Sidney "Red" Gilbert lived in Cushman most of his life. He was married to my Papa Jim Martin's first cousin on his mother's side Bessie Anderson Gilbert. Their daughter was Iva Lee Gilbert Martin. She married my Papa Jim Martin's first cousin on his father's side Carl Martin. I was privileged to know Red & Bessie when I was growing up. They were 2 of the very best people that I have ever known, & I loved them dearly. (Pleasant Valley Cemetery/Cushman)
