Last Call for BAAC's BYO Craft Night on September 3rd! Get out, get creative, and join other makers as you snack, make, and meet new friends. Feel free to BYOB along with your craft supplies!

Don't have a current project? ​No problem! For a small fee, BAAC will have a selection of crafts available for you to make. September’s projects include paint-your-own zipper pouch and collage bookmarks.

NEW MAKER ALERT!

We’re so excited to welcome Gena Tate of Two Happy Taters to the Work/Shop on Main as one of our makers. Her handcrafted earrings are made using resin and flowers she collects from her garden and the local area. Aren’t they just gorgeous? Stop by anytime Tuesday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to see them all!

It’s National Dog Day! Rene Hein’s “Pattern and Presence” exhibition came at the perfect time, with pups in almost every piece! There’s so many cute ones, it’s hard for us to choose our favorite.

Stop by Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., or Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to see the show.

Like many, we were heartbroken to hear the news of Dolly Parton's passing yesterday. Not only was Dolly an amazing musician, performer, actress, and businesswoman, but she was also an incredible philanthropist. Her work with the Imagination Library, the Dollywood Foundation and her other many contributions created a legacy of kindness, and her artistry and generosity are truly an inspiration to us all.

It seems a fitting tribute that our current exhibition features "What Would Dolly Do?", an oil painting by Rene Hein. This piece will hang in the Gallery on Main until October 2nd, reminding us all to ask: What would Dolly do?

Come see this work and the rest of Rene Hein's exhibition anytime Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., or Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

MONTHLY MAKER SPOTLIGHT 🌈
What an incredible talent we get to celebrate this month! This month's highlighted maker, Leia Parks, creates such a wide variety of beautiful work-- but have you seen her beautifully marbled ceramics? Rather than glazes applied on top of the clay, these colors are spiraled throughout the very body of the piece, creating a swirl of colors that shows how it was formed! Each one is so unique, it's hard to pick a favorite.

Stop by from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturdays to check them out yourself!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS & MAKERS!

The Batesville Area Arts Council will host the tenth annual Artoberfest, an arts and music festival on Main Street, Saturday, October 17, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This one-day festival will feature artist booths, live music, art demonstrations, and other family fun activities! Registration for vendors is now open-- don't miss your chance to be a part of this great event!
