Meet new artist Margret “Maggie” Lohr who is an eclectic artist whose love of color and creativity began at a very young age, first sparked by the vibrant possibilities of crayons and colored pencils.
Today, Maggie expresses her creativity through both painting and beadwork. Working primarily in oils and acrylics, she draws inspiration from many sources and embraces the freedom of loose, expressive brushstrokes.
As a beadwork artist, Maggie works with seed, glass, and gemstone beads, intricately weaving tiny individual pieces together to create unique, wearable sculptural art. She loves the contrast between the meticulous detail of working with small beads and the freedom she finds at the end of a paintbrush.
Whether weaving beads or putting brush to canvas, Maggie’s work reflects her eclectic spirit, love of color, and lifelong passion for creating art. Come see her work!

We have a new artist in the gallery! Welcome
Dakota Foster, who is a multifaceted creative gem made in the Ozark Foothills. Her precious childlike heart and eye for beauty shine through the colorful fun of her artwork. She is inspired by all things cute and beautiful in the world including the loveliness of femininity, the soft warmth of gentle memories, and the shapes she finds in clouds. Dakota works in various mediums including but certainly not limited to charcoal, watercolor, gouache, acrylics, and digital painting & 3D sculpting with her iPad. Come check out her work! You’ll be glad you did!

Eva Haley, award winning oil paint artist, participated in a competition to win a fancy plein air painting easel (made to be handy when painting outdoors).

To compete, every day in January, an artist had to create a still life composition (the arrangement they want to paint), take a photo it, paint a 5x7 canvas of that arrangement and take a photo of the painting.

Then post both pictures on FB for all 31 days in January. If you did it, your name was put into a drawing to win one of the two easels. Eva did not win the drawing, but here are some examples of what she painted that month.
