☔️Due to the recent rain on the east coast from the hurricane, there is a delay in the shipment of the cleaner for the cemetery stones.
We may also have rain on Wednesday, October 14. We will reschedule cleaning as soon as the weather cooperates.

Just a reminder that there are still tables available for vendors. Call or text the number at the bottom of the flyer to reserve your space.

Fowler Township Historical Society members Karen Dahman, Cathie Floch and Denise Rising cleaned gravestones at the Ridge Cemetery Saturday morning.
The cemetery is maintained by the township.
Notice the marble letters that identify rows.
The cemetery has the most Revolutionary War soldiers of all Fowler cemeteries.
There are also pink granite stones that are unusual and not common. Most of the 100 year + monuments are in great condition.
There is plenty of space to park along Ridge Rd in the grass along the fence—just stay back from the stop sign as we witnessed cars coasting through the stop and a few braking in the middle of the intersection because they missed the four way stop.
We’ll be back to finish cleaning on Wednesday, October 14 at 9 am.

“What’s This Wednesdays” is asking a question today and hoping for input from the community.
We have shared historical information, sponsored several America 250 Ohio events and Founder’s Day, also awarding scholarships to graduating Mathews Seniors.

Would you like a workshop for finding answers to your Fowler history? Do you have a family story that you would like to share? Does a craft night interest you?
How about another Fowler Talks with coffee and conversation?

Post your thoughts. We want to engage with the community with thoughtful conversations. 😊

This week we will begin cleaning the grave stones at the Ridge-West-Rand Cemetery at Rt 305 and Ridge Rd. We will be there on Saturday, October 3 at 10 am and Wednesday, October 14 at 9 am weather permitting.

Monthly membership meeting is Thursday, October 1 at 6:30 pm at the Fowler Township Community Center. Join us to learn more about future events.

Today I walked at the Air Heritage Trail on the corner of Rt 193 and Kings-Grave Rd. It is officially open according to the sign!
I will be there tomorrow, Sunday at 10am if anyone wants to join me and add miles to your FTHS and America 250 OH September Walk Challenge! Weather permitting, of course! 😉
