“We Just Still” is now on view at Urban Arts Space! Curated by Iyana Hill and co-curated by Jonathan Johnson, the exhibition is a celebration hood culture and the creativity, innovation, and resilience found within it. Join us Saturday, May 30 from 3–6 PM for the opening reception!

This summer, Urban Arts Space presents four multimedia exhibitions exploring identity, cultural expression, healing, and nature.

From late May through June, “We Just Still” highlights Black cultural creativity and expression. In July and August, “Homing” explores landscape and movement, on view alongside “The Black Madonna & Other Sacred Spaces,” which centers healing and sacred creative practices. At Hopkins Hall Gallery, “By Our Nature” opens in August, focusing on the relationship between q***r identity and the natural world.

Our exhibitions and events are free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Artist Commune presents For Us: A Function, a night rooted in music, memory, and the feeling of summertime finally starting. Inspired by Memorial Day cookouts, being outside all day, the pool finally opening, old songs playing through speakers, crate digging, dancing with your people, and the way communities have always created joy and connection through music.

Come listen, move, reconnect, and celebrate the beginning of summer with us. Free and open to all.
