“Hello! My name is Megan Keylon and I am a disabled digital artist. My art journey began with a turtle and a pesky ad. I know, weird, but it was a weird time for all of us. The pandemic stopped my way of life completely. I went from traveling to hospitals, various procedures, lab works, meeting specialists, physical therapy to… lockdown. I had no idea what to do and then p**f! An ad kept popping up on my phone for an art comic competition. My family has always encouraged me to just go for things in life, that I can do anything, but I had so much self doubt. I struggle to write my own name, much less create art!

But if I had to create a story, do I have one to tell? I decided I did. I sat down, drew a turtle in a wheelchair, and made a comic with a message that it is okay to be disabled and to even need help. I believe in my story so strongly that my goal is to get it printed, but that costs money! So I started an instagram page , practiced drawing everyday, and opened up virtual shops to sell my art. I will get there one day and am so thankful for all the support that brings me one step closer.”

“Hello my name is Jessica the artist behind on instagram!
I'm a now 30 year old self taught artist from Washington state.

I've done art for as long as I can remember, and I've always wanted to create things. The idea of making something from nothing was amazing to me. Art was something I always wanted to do. When I went into College, I had a great professor that encouraged me to continue art and even had my art in an art gallery for the first time. I remember being so excited, but as I took more classes I started to become more and more discouraged with my ability as an artist. So I stopped doing art and decided to pursue becoming a teacher working with students with special needs. I continued drawing every once in a while but it was just a hobby.

During the pandemic, I had more free time and started to truly get back into my passion of creating art. So, as much as the pandemic was bad it did bring me back into making art full time and pursuing what I've always to be — an artist.

“Hi guys! I'm Carmen, a Spanish artist. I have liked doing crafts since I can remember, and when I was very little, my grandmother put a needle in my hand. Since then, rare is the occasion in which I am not between fabrics, threads, cardboard, or glue. I’m always coming up with something.

Though I have been a craftswoman for many years, Rotten Apple Dolls was born in February 2020 with the need to give life to my passion for the world of horror. A few weeks later we were in global quarantine. Everyone was very overwhelmed, including me, thinking that my new project couldn’t work, but I turned out to have plenty of time to be able to shape a lot of things that I had in my mind and make them a reality. A year and a half later, I'm still here.

So I don’t take about them enough, but I’ve got postcards that are rad. They honestly look amazing framed (if you don’t feel like sending one off in the mail). They are all 5x7” size.

I’ve also got prints that are 8x10”.

The reason I mention them is I just spent a ridiculous and tortuous amount of time updating them all on my website… Okay it wasn’t that bad.
