A mama hen went nuts attacking the other chickens and ducks protecting her one chick. None of the chicks and ducklings could eat. I isolated her. And when I went to put her in the isolation cage, she freaked out and the cage door cut my face. I am certain I will be fine.

Last night, My Intern Marcus gave his final presentation of learning as my Columbus City Schools High School Intern. I cannot be more proud of him. , A great day of at Mid-Ohio Farm and Columbus City Schools. I didn't get any photos of the kids actually MAKING the feed from weeds. The scene of the crime I lost four and three I am grateful to the students from CSG who built a protective Biodome to keep the baby chicks and ducklings safe. That is exactly why I run . We can solve these problems together.

a sad day at my a neighbor walking their dog without a leash and the dog got into a hole in my fence line and into my coop. Killed all but three of my entire flock before they got into my yard to fetch the dog. Senseless waste. The rooster did his job and protected hens laying on eggs. doesn’t feel very hopeful today.
