We officially have a Spring Break program at Praxis!! Sign your 3rd - 6th grader up for a week full of fiber workshops in our studio. We will meet each day from 9:30a to 12p and provide a snack! We have the exciting opportunity to be this month’s Artist in the Atrium with the next Saturday February 15th! Join us for the free event from 11a - 3p in the Atrium to learn how to embroider fabric!

Every third Saturday of each month, stop by the Ames Family Atrium between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to get a firsthand look at the art-making process. Each session provides the opportunity to engage and interact with a different Northeast Ohio maker during pop-up demonstrations and activities. See their work unfold and learn how artists create. Explore a related selection of authentic objects from the CMA’s Education Art Collection in a pop-up Art Up Close session. See, think, and wonder.

Join local arts organization Praxis Fiber Workshop for a look into the world of embroidery. Inspired by the exhibition Arts of the Maghreb: North African Textiles and Jewelry, this program explores the artistry behind embroidery and woven textiles. Try your hand at embroidery, learn more about local fiber arts, and leave with your very own creation!

Campus International Middle School joined us this week for some indigo dyeing! We are working with them a total of four days over the month of February. At the end of their project we will be having a pop up show with the students here at Praxis. Stay tuned!

We are so honored to be on the front page of The Plain Dealer today, in a story about our partnership with U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) and the weaving program for refugee women.
