Chimayo Weavers - Centinela Traditional Arts Centinela Traditional Arts is a tapestry gallery in Chimayo, New Mexico, and on the web at www.ChimayoWeavers.com.

The weaving gallery is run by Irvin and Lisa Trujillo, who are award-winning weavers whose work has been shown in, and collected by, museums across the United States, including the Smithsonian. The tapestry gallery and this website also represent several other talented weavers, and you can see all of their work by browsing through our weavings, here on the website. We're currently looking for a seamstress who can work with our thick woven material, so a regular sewing machine won't do the job.
Lisa has been surging scrap material from vest production, which will then be sewn into our purse scrap products.

If you're looking for a fun way to ring in Fall, the Harvest Festival at Las Golondrinas is the first weekend in October! Emily will be representing Centinela Traditional Arts as a demonstrator and is excited to answer any questions about the process of weaving from fleece to tapestry. Instead of weaving however, she will be spinning at a both with assorted woven goods from the shop.
