Back in February, I had the privilege of contributing to the new PG&E building, helping to enhance their office space with nine prints. One of them was over 51 feet wide - the largest I’ve ever printed to date. My work also appeared in three of their conference rooms (Butte, Lassen, and Colusa), with prints ranging from 12 to 19 feet wide. In addition, my illustrated art photography piece of the Sutter Buttes was featured in their breakroom as a 37-foot-wide print. I was truly excited to be part of such a large-scale project, especially knowing that my fine art images were the only ones selected outside of PG&E’s own collection and stock photography.

So, if you ever need local imagery printed large, you know who to call.

Last week, the Paradise Art Center and the Town of Paradise installed more utility box wraps around Paradise. I have one image that’s always bugged me.

The tree in the upper left isn’t quite in focus, and it’s been a thorn in my side every time I print or sell it.

Today, I tested out some generative AI to fix that spot, and I was honestly surprised by how seamlessly it blended with the rest of the photo. I know I shouldn’t be, but I’ve always felt like resolution was a weak point with these tools. Doesn’t seem like that’s the case anymore.

That said, this isn’t something I’ll ever do with my fine art work. I believe trust and authenticity matter more to my collectors than a “perfect” image. And honestly? I’m not sure that out-of-focus tree bothers anyone but me (and maybe contest judges 😂).

If you’re looking for me during spring, there’s a chance I’m wandering around North Table Mountain for the hundredth time. 🥾✨

Honestly, there is nowhere else in Northern California quite like it.
It’s clearly not just a "me" thing, either. I’ve been lucky enough to send hundreds of prints of this landscape to homes all over the country (Even one to India). I’ve spent more hours than I can count out on those basalt cliffs, just waiting for that one perfect "glow" at sunset. I’ve pulled all those moments together into my Table Mountain Collection - it’s basically a love letter to my favorite local escape.

Table Mountain can have a few "gotchas" if you aren't ready! I want you to have the best experience possible (and avoid a ticket or being towed!), so I wrote a "Know Before You Go" guide on the blog.
