Women were kicking ass at billiards for over 100 years. This is from 1916 in Billiards Magazine. This couple would travel the country doing exhibitions and taking on challengers. I wish there was video. You'll have to use your imagination.

Mr 600 John Schmidt

Mosconi's record has been broken by John Schmidt. Let's support him and like his page.

My husband has a new title. By besting his prior moniker of Mr400, and exceeding a 65 year record in 14.1 Continous (526 by the Great 'Willie Mosconi').
On May 27th 2019, at Easy Street Billiards, John set a new world record with 626 aka Mr.600 :-)

As time goes by, our history is refined to the best of the best players. However, there were hundreds of incredible players most people have never heard of, including Japanese Champion Tadao Suganuma. Here's a cover photo and article about him from 1925. He was important in building the game in Tokyo, Japan. He even taught and coached female players. Japan was years ahead of the U.S. when it came to allowing women in the billiard rooms.
