ONE MONTH LEFT: Call for Art: "Unraveled" juried by Rebekah Baker, Gallery Director @ Woman Made Gallery

Submissions are open to women and nonbinary artists at all career stages. Artists working in fiber + textiles (inclusive of traditional and experimental uses of the medium) are welcome to apply.

Due date is November 7, 2026 and the exhibition will be on view from Jan. 16 to Feb. 13, 2027.

We’re highlighting Connie Hanselman, a member of Woman Made Gallery!

Connie Hanselman is a professional, contemporary oil painter who grew up loving art. She exhibits her current portfolio of artwork locally in her city of Oakwood, regionally and nationally. She received art training from Wright State and worked nearly two decades illustrating at WPAFB.

Hanselman is intrigued to find that what she notices in life gets layered into her paintings, and loves to tell her visual story with a sensitivity to color, light, shape, and pattern, and sometimes even humor.

ONE WEEK until our opening reception for In Full View! This juried group exhibition consists of work by 47 women and non-binary artists age 65 and older. Selected by Jerry Zbiral, the exhibition explores visibility and invisibility as they relate to identity, aging, memory, and the legacy of a fully lived life.

In Full View celebrates the depth, insight, and continuing cultural contribution of artists whose voices and perspectives deserve recognition, space, and visibility.

CALLING ALL WMG MEMBERS: We are accepting submissions for The Nancy Hild Artist Grant! The Nancy Hild Artist Grant is an annual award of $1,000 presented to a Woman Made Gallery member artist in recognition of artistic merit and demonstrated need. The grant is intended to remove a specific barrier standing between an artist and their next step.

While modest in size, the grant is designed to provide timely support for a specific need that can unlock an important next step in an artist’s practice. Funds may be used for materials, equipment, framing, documentation, website development, marketing, studio expenses, professional development, exhibition costs, or other art-related needs.

Applications are due October 31, 2026.

Call for Art: Adhesive Resistance - A Virtual Exhibition, juried by Courtney Nzeribe

Woman Made Gallery (WMG) invites women and nonbinary artists to submit work for Adhesive Resistance. This exhibition seeks work that embraces experimentation, cultural commentary, humor, urgency, and the democratic spirit of DIY publishing. It welcomes polished work and beautiful roughness alike—seeking submissions that communicate boldly, challenge convention, and understand that small, reproducible objects can carry powerful ideas into the world.

This show is open to all printed matter, stickers, zines, pins, buttons, etc. Sticker designs can be submitted as individual designs or sheets. This virtual exhibition will be hosted on the Woman Made Gallery website and promoted across our social media.

What a night of celebrating art and activism! Friday, September 18th, we had the honor of hosting our Makers & Shakers Bash at Morning Star, commemorating past and current women who have shaped our culture and led the way for our future.

We would like to thank our 2026 Honorees, Scheherazade Tillet, our Maker, and Jane Ruby, our Shaker! These women shift our culture through their art and activism, moving communities towards equity and justice.
