Love this work on view at Blanc Gallery in their current exhibition, “This could be // The Permanent Rebellion.” The exhibition, curated by Imani Harmon, centers Black political consciousness of the past present and future features work by 13 recent gratuating seniors from the School of the Art Institute shown alongside self-taught artists.

Work featured here is by Messejah Malik Washington (Messejah Melik Washington ☭ ★) and the exhibtion is on view through September 12.

Hit up the Arts Lawn for “The Secret Life of Plants” with Planks and Pistols, go for a bike ride with Black Joy Ride, head to Navy Pier and party with Pachanga or network with creatives, or check out exhibition openings from Wild Yams and All Star Press. Next week the MCA is back with Tuesdays on the Terrace and Scatch Goods is hosting Take Care Tuesdays with Evie the 🆒.
