EIU University Graduates Georgina and Dorothy Roy from our Medicine Shield College Program and their families, once had a Native restaurant in Chicago. Though short lived-it was amazing!
Take a look at their 2010 menu found in the NAES College Archives.
We all really enjoyed their cooking and it was a wonderful place to gather and see community.

I and AIAI could not be prouder of our Native Scholar, Eric Cloud, Ojibwe, who received the Louis Delgado Youth Volunteer award last night, given by the Chicago American Indian Community Collaborative. AIAI has always believed in honoring our youth and elders in our Native Community. Eric has been a student, mentor, Black Hawk dancer, Native Dream Team journalist and all around AIAI volunteer throughout his life. We believe in Native leadership through service. In honoring him, we honor Melanie and the entire Cloud family, who have made Chicago their home. AIAI also celebrates all of the other CAICC volunteer awardees and may they all continue in their service to our urban Native people.
