American Indian people have fought for over 500 years to be free, to lead our own endeavors and to be treated as human sophisticated beings. We have come too far to give that up. Too many of our ancestors have died to relinquish those hard won rights. We must lead for the survival of our people. No one else is going to save us. We must save ourselves.
