I understand sister, I understand

Sometimes, traveling the road of life
we meet our twin,
sisters in spirit
born of another mother’s womb.
At the crossroad
her posture may be
kneeling, bending, yielding
or she may be on her back,
but when our eyes meet
they say I understand sister,
I understand
‘I been where you at.’

Nurse your Post Holiday Existential Hangover by submitting to Woman Made Gallery’s First Annual “Aftermath” Literary Event.

Curated by Jae Green, February’s Literary event takes a look at next steps, changes, redos, reconsiderations and the over all psychic housecleaning of another new year. This reading is open to Women, Non Binary People and Femme poets and writers. (Flash Fiction of 350 Words or Less may be considered.)
