Engine Fridays: What's Eating this Ford 1957 Teapot Carburetor? 🤔🔧

Dive under the hood for this week's Engine Fridays at the Stahls Motor and Music Experience! In this episode, our master mechanic "Magic Dave" breaks down the history, quirks, and engineering flaws of the infamous 1957 Ford Thunderbird carburetor setup. We take a close look at the dual 4-barrel setup featuring the notorious Holley 4000 carburetor—affectionately (and dangerously) known as the "teapot" or "firebox" carburetor. Discover the history behind Ford's factory fix, the dangerous leaking fuel tubes that caused engine fires, and why this design was ultimately discontinued after a 7-year run!

Stahls Tailgate Cruise Night is here with a bold new format, packing more music, food, and fun into one fun-filled night!

Here are the details for our upcoming October event:

• 📅 Date: Thursday, October 8th (plus the second Thursday of each month through October)
• ⏰ Time: 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM (Museum open for touring 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• 🎵 Live Music: The Allen Puckett Project
• 🍔 Food Truck: Batter Up Food Truck

Bring your ride, check out an incredible lineup of vehicles, grab some local eats, enjoy great tunes, and enter our prize drawings throughout the evening! Don't forget to step inside the museum while you're here - the collection will be open to the public between 4-7PM.

Stahls Automotive Foundation is deeply proud to partner with MCREST for their annual fundraiser. Homelessness is a critical issue right in our own Macomb County community, and the life-changing work MCREST does every single day is nothing short of inspiring.
