The Missionary Ridge Local has a little something for everyone: and we’ll be running rain or shine! 🚂🌦️

Enjoy interesting railroad history, a short, relaxing train ride, a fascinating turntable demonstration, and a behind-the-scenes peek inside Soule Shops, where we restore and preserve our vintage railroad equipment.

Along the way, visit two historic-style depots and step back in time to experience the Golden Age of Railroading.

🚂 Founder's Day Weekend is underway — and 4501 is leading the way!

Steam Engine 4501 kicks off our 65th anniversary celebration today, featured on the Missionary Ridge Local (Saturday only) and alternating with our 1941-built Diesel Engine 200.

There’s plenty happening around the museum all weekend — a small vendor market, trains ranging from one-hour excursions to all-day adventures, and the Tennessee Valley Model Railroad Club will be open!

Come celebrate 65 years of preserving railroad history with us. And remember — you are an integral part of keeping history rolling. ❤️🚂
