Kamm Teapot Foundation Artful teapots from the 1700’s to present day. The Kamm Teapot Foundation was founded in 2004 by Sonny & Gloria Kamm.

It is a private, non-profit, charitable trust that maintains an extensive teapot collection for its eventual public use in a museum setting. The collection numbers over 17,000 items and encompasses historical decorative arts, industrial design icons, unique works of contemporary art, novelty teapots, and teapot-related artifacts.

This tribute to The Wizard of Oz has a base made of two plates that are covered in pink grout. Embedded in the grout are pieces of found ceramics about Kansas. "There's no place like home." A spiraling bronze stem that looks like a ram's horn holds up the teapot. It is covered in a ceramic mosaic of colors with a poppy field and other elements of the story. The yellow brick road winds from the sculpture's base to the top where Dorothy and Toto sit.

The teapot is a stack of three ceramic teapots fixed together and covered in a Japanese language newspaper. Painted accents, Along with a cup, and a bamboo tray.

Curator Heather Gibson writes:
It's interesting to examine this pot in terms of Ebendorf's artist's statement. Ebendorf has dyslexia, and "Reading and assembling information in the form of written text, even in things like board games or how to put a bed together were challenging, impossible, even now. I get very frustrated; written information has always been difficult for me..." This pot seems to explore the way Ebendorf visualizes text, not as sensical information, but as pattern.
