☔️ Recognizing there will likely be severe storms occurring this Saturday related to the incoming hurricane, we have decided to cancel Pumpkin Junction train operations tomorrow.

The Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum will be closed Saturday, October 10, 2026 due to inclement weather.

You do still have some options to come aboard this season!:

1) You are welcome to rebook your existing tickets to enjoy a trip to the Junction on a different day this month!

Alternate availabilities include:
- Sunday, October 11 at 10AM (NEW!) or 3PM
- Saturday, October 17 at 1PM
- Sunday, October 18 at 1PM or 3PM

Please reply to the email we sent regarding your cancellation or to your ticket confirmation email with your selection.

2) You could choose to rebook your existing tickets to take a full-length 75-minute train ride through the woods later this month on the Fall Foliage Special!

- Saturday, October 24 at 10AM, 1PM or 3PM
- Sunday, October 25 at 1PM or 3PM
- Saturday, October 31 at 10AM, 1PM or 3PM
- Sunday, November 1 at 1PM or 3PM

Spaces are becoming very limited! Reply back to your cancellation email or ticket confirmation with your preferred date & time, or further questions.

3) We are offering a special extended expiration for your prepurchased tickets so that you can choose to apply these unused travel funds to the purchase of daytime Christmas at the Station experience tickets on one of the first three Saturdays of December at 10AM or 1PM! To take this train ride with Santa and ride down Candy Cane Lane, reply back with your preferred date & time, or further questions!

🌧️ Heads up, Pumpkin Junction passengers!

We’re still looking forward to seeing you and your family on the train today (10/4)!

There’s a chance of rain this afternoon, so here are a couple of options:

1️⃣ Ride as planned
Pick up (or buy) your tickets at Will Call, hop on, and enjoy all the outdoor fun at the Junction. Umbrellas welcome! ☔️

2️⃣ Stay on board for the full ride
Use today’s tickets for a complete 75-minute roundtrip instead of getting off.
If you pre-purchased a pumpkin, just tell your conductor — you can redeem it at the Gift Shop and pick one there.

3️⃣ Reschedule
You’re welcome to move your tickets to either of the next two Saturdays or Sundays this month. Just let us know in advance!

Welcome to our big ‘backyard’ at Pumpkin Junction! More than just a spot to pick out the perfect pumpkin, the Junction is packed with outdoor family fun, crafts, inflatables, delicious food vendors, hayrides, and more!

Plus, an adults-only w**e tasting experience may be available, compliments of Ozan Winery & Distillery!

We want every guest to have a wonderful experience. This event is designed to be an engaging, comfortable option for children with unique sensory needs. Please reach out to our team if anyone in your party requires specific accommodations—we are here to help you relax and enjoy your day!

WHAT TO EXPECT

🗓️ Event Dates:
October 3–4, 10–11, and 17–18

Train Departure Times (Central Time):

Saturdays: 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM, & 3:00 PM

Sundays: 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM

Trip & Boarding Details:

Boarding: Begins 15 minutes prior to departure.

Train Ride Duration: ~25 minutes.

Time at Pumpkin Junction: ~60 minutes.

Seating: First-come, first-served (unassigned). Choose between open-air cars or enclosed, climate-controlled cars. Caboose and locomotive tickets may also be available!

Accessibility: Accessible boarding is available at both the Calera Depot and Pumpkin Junction. To reserve a wheelchair spot with adjacent seating for your family, please select the "Wheelchair Spaces" ticket option.

Ticketing Information:
