Bellevue Historical Society Bellevue Historical Society - committed to the preservation of the history of Bellevue, Ohio We need you to help us raise these funds.

The Bellevue Historical Society is the owner of some of Bellevue's most significant treasures. One of those treasures is the Tremont House, which will one day be home to the smaller treasures that track the history of our town. The Bellevue Historical Society is working to restore the Tremont House to her former glory, and make a home to display our collections. The Sandusky County Communities Foundation is challenging our historical society to raise $50,000 by Dec. 15 2015. They will match up to $50,000. To go to the restoration of the Tremont House project. Phase 1 involves restoring the front facade to its original 1846 appearance.

On Tuesday the public had the chance to see the progress on the restoration of the Tremont House. While participating in Ohio Open Doors.

With a wonderful volunteer crew, we were able to do a pop up tour of Bellevue Ohio history. After the event, displays removed so work will continue.

We wanted to show off how far we have come on the restoration of the Tremont House.

Everyone really enjoyed seeing the 1st floor. And how close we are to opening.

Displays were nicely done with great information and history. Hugh thank you to the volunteers that worked putting this pop up event together. Mary Mitchell, Pat Custer, Dale Hoffman, Alicia Robles along with Roxanne Fredrick, Carol Schubert. Linda Netcher welcomed guess at the desk. Without volunteers like these this wouldn't have been possible.

Between sponsorship, memberships and grants to finance the project we wouldn't be at the point.

Our next fundraiser will be our annual Buckeye Sale in November. Watch for details.

Annual sponsorship, membership information will be going out soon. Both of these are on our website. BellevueHistoricalSociety.com

I want to thank everyone that came to the Tremont House Bellevue Ohio Open Door.

This afternoon/evening Howard Wyrick (former board members). Found a chair, just like when he worked at the phone company. Bellevue had 8 phone lines at the time, he enjoyed telling me about that, and I enjoyed hearing it.

Thanks to the great volunteers that worked on putting this pop up event together. Tonight was a chance to see the progress on the restoration of the Tremont House. This was a brief walk down memory lane viewing the items on display of Bellevue. Items will be removed and work will continue.
