Louisiana's Old State Capitol keeps a prisoner in its basement!

Many years ago, the Old State Capitol was used as barracks during the Civil War. The prisoner was a part of an old exhibition which explored that, and is the only part of it that remains.

🎌 Need rainy day plans this weekend? Tomorrow, June 6 is the LAST DAY to see the incredible exhibit, "Japanese War Brides: Across A Wide Divide." Y'all, we have gotten visitors from all over the country who have traveled here just to see this exhibition! It's not one that you want to miss.

Our doors are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. We can't wait to see y'all! 😊🏰

"Japanese War Brides: Across A Wide Divide" is on loan from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the National Museum of American History, and the War Bride Experience, Inc.
