The “NEW” Bridges Emporium! More Artists per square inch than anywhere else in Bastrop.
Bridges Emporium The Bridges Building at 920 Main Street in Bastrop (“Bridges Emporium”) houses a collective of seven unique art shops that include everything from fine art, found art, oils, acrylics, watercolors, photography, hand-painted decor and keepsake items, and even a computer repair place (yes, we consider dealing with technology an art form). A stop at The Bridges Emporium is always worth the visit, even if only to see what’s new!
Linda Kjellberg ARTWORKS specializes in beautiful watercolor paintings covering a variety of subjects. There are florals, vegetables, architecture, vintage autos, gardens, and landscapes. And even a few paintings featuring wine! In addition, the artist creates hand-painted t-shirts, canvas shoes, and denim jackets. There are also high quality 5” x 7” greeting cards produced from a majority of her paintings. These cards are supremely wonderful for conveying sentiments or news through the mail, but also suitable for framing. Your own personal mini art gallery could begin here.
Art by Ginger B. & Worthy Studios Photography (Home of the Original StoryBox) Sisters Ginger Baldwin and Megan Worthy oversee this little nook which boasts fine nature photography, original artwork in pastels, handcrafted, hand painted wood items such as one-of-a-kind keepsake boxes, unusual ornaments, fun magnets, miniature shadow boxes, frames, a selection of 1:6 scale flower arrangements, and note cards based on original cowboy boot paintings for which Ginger is so well known. You can also request a customized/personalized StoryBox, ornament, wall cross, painting, frame - pretty much anything you see in the shop!
