This Saturday! October 24th!

The first part of this class is about learning peacefulness, mindfulness relaxing into stitching rhythmically to become fully relaxed into the process of hand stitching.

The second part is bringing nature into the softness of fabric. Stitching a fabric nest for your nature piece, sticks, bark, dried flowers and or grasses, using easy basic embroidery which you will learn. Your piece will be 8” X 10”.

No experience necessary. Instructor is Zanna James.

Our curated exhibit, "The World of Glass", showcases the beauty, innovation, and craftsmanship of glass as an artistic medium. From traditional techniques to contemporary explorations, this show celebrates the transformative power of glass in all its forms. Whether functional, decorative, or somewhere in between, the glass arts offer inherent luminosity and reflections few other mediums can offer. Come explore the variety of styles from artists that work in blown glass, fused glass, stained glass, mosaics and more! On view through the end of November.

Our Teen Art Club at Lost Pines art Center meets every third Sunday from 2-4pm - and we’d love to see you there! Admission is free and all students are welcome, ages 13-18. No need to register. Our next session is Oct. 18th, 2-4pm.

We explore a variety of mediums, listen to music, create freely, and connect with friends in a relaxed and welcoming space. It’s the perfect creative outlet for teens who want to try new things, express themselves, and be part of a supportive art community.

Our Artist Spotlight is on Louise Placek for the months of September, October and November. In this exhibit. Louise uses recycled paper clay and wood to form rustic vessels, figures and tribal masks.
