ARIN MITCHELL - Painter | Illustrator | Sculptor

Artist Arin Mitchell, whose studio is based in Baltimore, has been a practicing artist for over 30 years. She is a figurative painter whose works are primarily a combination of mixed mediums.

Through the use of acrylic paints, colored tissue paper, and repurposed paintings on an unstretched canvas, she creates a variety of realistic images. The variety of color, line, and textures allows ones to be carried from one point to another through the painting.

Bringing together artists from around the world, the exhibition offers a broad range of responses to a single theme: tolerance. The result is a collection of posters that reflects the perspectives of over 245 artists and a project that has been shown in over 50 countries.

We're excited to share an upcoming collaboration between LED Baltimore and the Tolerance Project, an international traveling poster exhibition featuring artists from around the world.

Built around a single theme, the project asks artists to create a poster showing what tolerance means to them, using the word ‘tolerance’ in their language. Since 2017, the project has shown 247 posters in over 50 countries.
